About HVAC in Jim Thorpe, PA

A lot of the housing in Jim Thorpe, PA predates modern heating, and it shows.

Buildings with little wall insulation, single-pipe steam or hot water systems, oil tanks still in service, and additions heated by whatever was convenient at the time. Working on these properly means understanding what is actually installed rather than assuming a standard forced-air setup.

What we do

• Heating. Furnaces, boilers and the older systems still common here. Radiators that never warm and pipes that bang are usually venting, pitch or circulation faults, and replacing a working boiler will not fix either.
• Fuel conversions. Oil to gas, or oil to a heat pump where it suits the building. Worth doing properly with a heat loss calculation, because equipment sized for the house as it was before insulation improvements will be substantially too large.
• Cooling. Summers here are humid enough to matter. In buildings without ductwork, ductless systems avoid gutting the place to add it.
• Maintenance. Pre-season combustion and safety checks, which is when Pao Card would rather find a problem than in the middle of a cold snap.

How we work

Written pricing before work begins. Technicians who explain the fault plainly. Realistic guidance about what an older building can accommodate without disproportionate cost.
